structural transition joint marine triclad

TriClad plate in strips, cut on demand for you

TriClad® is designed to facilitate the joining of aluminium structures to steel structures. TriClad® is produced in a so called ‘parent plate’. This parent plate is 1,5 x 4 meters and has a useable area of 1300 x 3800 mm. From this useable area, strips and other shapes can be cut. TriClad can be cut in strips for you on demand.

TriClad's standard strip length is 3800 mm and has a minimum strip width of 10 mm. We have various TriClad® strips in stock, for example strips that are 16, 20, 24, 25 or 30 mm in width. These strips are commonly used.

TriClad® strip on request

We can cut any requested strips up to the parent plate width of 1350 mm. If your requested strip size is not available off the shelf, we can cut your strips within a matter of days so that you have the desired material in no time at all.

TriClad® in other shapes

TriClad® is available in different shapes. We can cut squares, rectangles, discs and complex shapes. Although the cutting processes vary, all shapes are cut by machines. We use band saws and waterjet for cutting these shapes.

Grades and metal thicknesses

The chosen metals are compatible with the common aluminium and steel classes for marine ships. TriClad® has standardized the following grades and metal thicknesses:
